About Manipur Rural Bank Jobs

As per the notification issued by Government of India, five Regional Rural Banks were set up on 2 October 1975 under the sponsorship of State Bank of India, Unite Commercial Bank, United Bank of India, Syndicate Bank and Punjab National Bank. United Bank of India sponsor MRB or “Manipur Gramin Bank” by holding 35% capital share whereas central government and state government hold 50% and 15% share respectively. Previously, “Reserve Bank of India” laid down upper limit on interest rate paid by these RRBs including Manipur Rural Bank. However, Manipur Rural Bank was given autonomy to fix their interest rate that normally ranges between 14 to 18 percent for advances.

Other than Manipur Rural Bank, 25 more RRBs were merged into 10 RRBs in January 2013 making competition harsh for existing one. Manipur Rural Bank continues to provide financial assistance by organizing credit awareness or disbursement camp. Moreover, bank also distributes an amount of Rs. 15,000 to recipient of four organizations of farmers in east district of Imphal. In 2011, Manipur Rural Bank organized a camp with its chairman and office in-charge at regional office of NABARD. Leading intention of the bank to cover facilitates every region in close proximity by opening more and more branches in upcoming years.

With other participating RRBs, Manipur Rural Bank complies with Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS for recruitment. As a controlling body, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection helps participating banks to find talent through recruitment process by conducting a common examination. Moreover, this also simplifies hectic process of recruitment conducted by all the banks separately. As a participating bank, Manipur Rural Bank’s selection is entirely based on the scores obtained by an aspirant in IBPS CWE RRBs.  Scorecard is provided by IBPS to candidates who have qualified the exam by obtaining minimum qualifying in TWSS or “Total Weighted Standardized Score”, a new cut-off method applied by IBPS.

Manipur Rural Bank invites application for different cadres like Probationary Officer, Specialist Officer and Officer Grade- I, II & III from Indian Citizens who hold scorecard after qualifying IBPS exam. There is no doubt that brilliance of IBPS is serving banking sector for 40 years and continue to work on testing models by carrying out different activities. IBPS has grown out to e a superior body governing entire recruitment procedure including selection, placement and promotion of candidates.

With a team of veteran and qualified professionals of insurance sector, IT and educational institutes, IBPS came up with quality approach to completely modify the way of recruitment. In 2010-11, IBPS selected more than ten million candidates for testing other than selecting suitable candidates for regional rural and public sector banks. Currently, IBPS has only intention to implement most innovative and timesaving process for recruiting bank personnel. Above all, IBPS intend to build speed, accuracy and confidence in candidates appearing for Common Written Examination.
