The Maharashtra Gramin bank was established under the RRB Act 1976 and from that period to 2006 the banking industry has gone through changes along with the RRBs no exceptions. While considering the need to change in RRBs in the way of economic and dynamic scenario, the Government of India has issued a notification on 25-3-2008 to amalgamate Aurangabad Jalna Gramin Bank and Thane Gramin Bank into single RRBs named as Maharashtra Gramin Bank under the Government of India, Ministry of Finance and Bank of Maharashtra.

The MGB believe that the repositioning is important in the competitive market so that bank can accomplish the profitability, NPA reductions and can double the flow of credit of agriculture by achieving the quantum of jumps in saving bank deposits that being mobilization, best practices to deliver value added services to our customers. To bring out best services to their customers the bank has focused on various prospective and transformed the branches into the most preferred banking sectors of rural areas. Development in the rural economy by providing the purpose of development in agriculture, trade, commerce, productivity and industrial activities associated at rural areas. They are particularly examining the small and marginal farmers, labours and small enterprises that have incurred better results for the growth of the company. The bank is focused upon the revenues that are incurred every year and want to upgrade these facilities by giving best banking facilities to their customers.

There are various criteria required to be taken into consideration like qualification-The degree in the related discipline is required from a recognized university or its equivalent for applying to the specific posts. The age limit is subscribed with every post and the candidates within the range can apply for the posts and the relaxation has been made based upon the category and type of vacancy the individual is trying for. The posts that are offered by MGB are Officer Scale I, II, III and Office Assistant (multipurpose) and to apply for such posts the candidates have to make online registration that include the filling up of relevant and complete information. The candidates are required to take the print out of the same for further reference. The application form and other details will be made available to you on the official website of MGB along with the application fee that can be paid through online or offline mode through prescribed Challan.

The selection process consists of Common Written Exam and interview in which the Total Weightage Standard Scores are calculated for every candidate. The CWE are conducted by through IBPS which are authorised to take up such exams and issue a valid score card on the basis of the performance on individuals. The Merit list of the candidates for final selection is based on TWSS through IBPS RRB Common Written Exam and interview.
