About Chikmagalur Kodagu Grameena Bank Jobs


The Chikmagalur Kodagu Grameena Bank was established in the year 1984 under the RRB Act 1976 and named after the district Chikmagalur and Kodagu which were the operational networks spread all around. The Bank was sponsored by the Corporate Bank as a premium public sector Bank with its Head Office at Chikmagalur, Karnataka State. The Bank has the network of 52 Branches in which 34 branches are in Chikmagalur and 18 are in Kodagu district, the branches are covered with the network with fully terrain along with the portion of plain land.

This two districts has attained the national importance due to the world class coffee growth in these areas and contributed a loin share to the national coffee exports. Their main objective is to achieve and sustain the social development of rural areas belonging to these districts and offer service to the customer in most effective and conspicuous manner. The Bank has utilized the training facilities for their staff members which are extended by various agencies and also consider it as an important tool in building the knowledge of staff. The training programmes are conducted by the National Institute of Rural Banking through which the CKGB has explored to various advantages in imparting to its staff members.

The Application fee charged is Rs. 300 for general candidates and Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The payment should be made through the Challan Form that is made available on the Bank’s website. All the eligible candidates are required to apply online through the bank’s official website and the candidates should have a valid email Id that can be kept active during the currency of this recruitment process. Branch code and transaction journal note on the Challan form should be correctly filled in the application and the candidates are required to save the registration number and password for further reference that are made avavible to them through the online Challan. After applying online, the candidates should take the print out of the form so that at the time of interview they can carry it with themselves. The eligibility criteria include age limit, qualification, pay scale and number of vacancies on the basis of which the candidates are shortlisted for the next round of selection process.

To eligible candidates can then go through the CWE that are conducted through IBPS for the post of Officer and Office Assistant. The Exam for Officer Scale I, II, III include section of reasoning, Aptitude, data interpretation, financial awareness and General English whereas for the post of Office Assistant (multipurpose) the section include Numerical ability, General awareness, reasoning and general English. After the selection all the Officer Post candidates have to go through the probation period of two years and for Assistant the probation period is for one year.
