BREAK-UP OF VACANCIES:-

SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL(SSB)MALE:- Posts: 528; [ii] Age: Between 18 to 23 years as on 01st January, 2013; [iii] Salary: Rs. 5200-20,200 + GP 2000 + Allowances; [iv] Qualifications:- It is mandatory that Candidate should be Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized Board. Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied with Govt. of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to Matriculation/10th Class pass for service under Central Govt.

STANDARDS OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENTS:-

[a] For OBC Category:- [i] HEIGHT = 165 cms [ii] CHEST:- Unexpanded = 80 cms & Expanded = 85 cms. [iii] WEIGHT = Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

[b] For SC Category:- [i] HEIGHT = 162 cms [ii] CHEST:- Unexpanded = 79 cms & Expanded = 84 cms. [iii] WEIGHT = Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

[c] For ST Category:- [i] HEIGHT = 162 cms [ii] CHEST:- Unexpanded = 76 cms & Expanded = 81 cms. [iii] WEIGHT = Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

MEDICAL STANDARD:-

[a] Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

[b] Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

[c] Candidate must be in a good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

[d] Candidate should conform to the medical standards prescribed by the Force and should be declared fit by the Medical Officers of SSB.

Selection Procedure

[a] Please note that there is no vacancy of General Category as such General category candidate may need not apply.

[b] The number of vacancies are subject to change without any notice and may increase or decrease depending upon the position at the time of final selection.

[c] The posts are temporary but likely to be permanent.

[d] The recruitment will be conducted on all India basis.

[e] Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere within as well as outside the Territory of India according to transfer policy of the force.

[f] The candidate must fulfill all eligibility conditions at the time of reporting for the Recruitment Test.

[g] Candidates appearing in the examination/awaiting result/educational certificates, need not to apply.

[h] Only Matriculation certificate will be accepted as a proof for establishing age of the candidates and no other document will be accepted.

[i] The relaxation in age is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates (i.e. 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC).

MEDICAL EXAMINATION:-

[a] The candidates will be medically examined by the Recruitment Board of SSB to assess their physical and medical fitness as pr escribed in the eligibility conditions.

[b] The number of candidates to be examined will be equal to the number of vacancies, increased by average failure rate during medical examination determined on the basis of past experience.

[c] The list of successful cand idates of written test, to be called for medical examination as per merit and vacancy position, will be displayed on the notice board of respective recruitment centres with in a week time from the date of written test.

[d] The Exact date of declaration of result will be intimated to the candidates orally by the Recruitment Board on the date of written examination and the same will also be uploaded in SSB recruitment website www.ssbrectt.gov.in

[e] No separate Admit car ds will be issued to the candidates for appearing in Medical Examination.

[f] The candidate will report to the Review Medical Board alongwith form 4, 5, and 6 duly completed in all respect and Bank Draft of Rs. 25/= for Review Medical Examination.

[g] The Chairman Recruitment Board will intimate the date and time and place of Review Medical Board where the candidate will have to appear for review medical examination.

[h] The decision of the Review Medical Board of SSB will be final and no 2nd appeal will be entertained as per Govt. instructions and also no reply of the correspondence/ 2nd appeal will be entertained.

[i] No TA/DA will be admissible. However, TA for onward and return journey to SC/ ST candidates will be paid as per GOI instructions to those who appear in written test subject to production of rail/ Bus tickets.

[j] Incomplete or unsigned applications, applications without Photographs/ attested photographs will be rejected summarily.

[k] The final selection list will be prepared in order of merit, category-wise, after completion of Review Medical Examination on the basis of merit of written examination keeping in view the number of vacancies available.

[l] Please note that the candidates who merely secure the qualifying percentage marks and found medically fit, may not be considered for final selection since the cut off marks will be determined according to number of vacancies as well as after completion of whole recruitment process.

How to Apply

[a] The DG SSB has full rights to make changes or cancel /postpone the recruitment without assigning any reason.

[b] No separate admit cards/ call letters will be issued to the qualified candidates called for written examination, and final medical examination.

[c] The same will be apprised to the candidate by the recruitment board and the list of qualified candidates called for test will be displayed on the notice board at the recruitment venue as well as in SSB recruitment website.
